Celebrating the U.S. News & World Report rankings at Bridgeport Hospital
It is our great pleasure to share the news that Mary C. Christoffersen, DNP, MBA, RN, CNOR has been appointed Bridgeport Hospital’s senior vice president and chief nursing officer. Mary is deeply committed to finding innovative ways to elevate our nurses and clinical workforce. Under her leadership, several new career development and scholarship opportunities have recently been established to prioritize ongoing education.
Studies consistently show that there is a direct correlation between nurse development and increased quality of patient care. Access to professional development keeps nursing care clinically relevant as medical knowledge rapidly grows; it enhances overall job satisfaction and reduces turnover; and it increases the confidence, resiliency and well-being of clinical bedside leaders.
The Foundation is proud to partner with Mary and her leadership team to develop outstanding professional development programs for our nurses and clinicians. We need your help to provide them with resources for a variety of educational initiatives. Each and every gift counts and will help make a difference in the quality of the care Bridgeport Hospital provides to our patients.
