Oncology Nurse Navigators at Bridgeport Hospital

2023 Kaulbach Memorial Golf Classic

Thank you for your support of patients receiving care at Bridgeport Hospital’s Smilow Care Centers. Studies show oncology patients are living longer and benefit significantly from supportive care and services after their treatment ends. Oncology Nurse Navigators and Social Workers work closely with physician teams to prepare individualized care plans to address the complex needs of all patients. Care plans provide a roadmap for patients to follow once their initial treatment ends and include imaging and pathology results, physician referrals, and other information to optimize their quality of life. In addition, Social Workers join forces with Oncology Nurse Navigators to assess the mental health needs of patients, providing essential resources and referrals for integrative services including counseling, music and art therapy, massage, Reiki, and acupuncture.

Your support of the Golf Classic’s paddle raise will enable Bridgeport Hospital to expand access to these care professionals and improve outcomes for countless patients.
