Let’s continue the tradition of the holidays from the comfort of your home or a local outdoor trail by participating in the Virtual Holiday Toy Run. You can run alone or with a group of friends. Whether you run on a treadmill, jog around the neighborhood or walk around the block, you don’t have to miss this signature event.

The Holiday Toy Run continues to raise funds for the Dr. Tom Kennedy Toy Closet at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital at Bridgeport. This year, Covid-19 has caused great instability and uncertainty in our community, but we are committed to making the holidays great for you, our runners, and most importantly, the children in our care at Bridgeport Hospital. In order to do so, we need your assistance more than ever this year!!

With the Virtual Holiday Toy Run, we will not gather on a Sunday in December with Marty Schaivone and his team like we did in years past, but we invite you to register, run/walk and complete the race in the same spirit as before. Instead of bringing a toy to the race for the Toy Closet, we ask that you consider making a donation to the Toy Closet Fund so we can purchase the toys needed to put a smile on the faces of our smallest patients. You can also help by holding your own virtual fundraiser to raise money for the Toy Closet, too!!

Your support this year means everything to keeping a supply of toys ready for our patients. We really can’t do this without you!!
