President Message – Donor Advised Fund Day – October 10, 2024

Bridgeport Hospital Foundation is joining charities throughout the country in celebration of the first “DAF Day” on October 10th. DAF (Donor-Advised Fund) Day is a new kind of giving day that brings awareness to how donor-advised funds can support charitable organizations and to help individuals find out if a DAF is the right choice for them.

Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle in the United States because they are one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to give. 

You can establish a DAF charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about, like Bridgeport Hospital Foundation. Your DAF distribution can be unrestricted so that it can be used where the hospital needs it most, or you can decide to direct it to something personally meaningful or specific like cardiovascular care,  neurosciences, oncology, pediatric care or the Connecticut Burn Center.
