Spring Greetings from the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation!

The New Year has given all of us a chance to reflect on what is most important, our core values. If you believe everyone should act with integrity and treat others with respect and compassion, Bridgeport Hospital shares your values.

Your contributions to the Foundation help build a strong community by putting patients and families at the center of everything we do.

The Primary Care Center and Ahlbin Rehabilitation Centers at Bridgeport Hospital provide a safety net for our low-income patients. Often a lack of resources for reliable transportation to and from our outpatient specialty care sites is a significant roadblock for them to access care.

Patients tell us that they go without meals so they can afford transportation to come for treatment; one family gave up lunch and dinner on Fridays for more than a year so their autistic child could make appointments. Other sick patients walk long distances in inclement weather with disabled children. These stories are real and vivid.

Thanks to friends like you and recent contributions from Newman’s Own Foundation and EPIC, provider of our electronic health record, we have established a Transportation Assistance Fund so these patients may receive medical services.

If you wish to help the most vulnerable in our community access the care they need, please click here to donate now.

Thank you for honoring and trusting us with your charitable contributions.
